Design Journal 16/03/20

The 3D model is approaching completion whilst basic materiality and interior detailing still awaiting completion.

The mountainside terrain was constructed being careful to follow the curved lines of the geodesic sphere. This took considerable time and computing power as detail had to be constantly added such that the overlap between the ground and below space could be sufficiently reduced.

The elements referenced below were used in the futher detailing of spaces.

The interior of Jansen's studio begun to take form with the development of a geometrically complex interior, abstracted through the undulation of points within the wall surface. Walls were added to better define the studio space whilst the bottom stairs were adjusted to better suit the liveliness of the space. However lots of improvements must be made to the proportions, textures and depth of the spaces.
